Re: 8 sec. pump gas, street car
I've always liked the LSX cars and motors, but ill be the first to tell you when I buy another streetcar it will be an 03-04 cobra...ported eaton, tuned, boltons, and some spray and you have a very fast car

Re: 8 sec. pump gas, street car
I love my V8's til the end, but there's a very respectable all-motor Hatch up this way that runs well down into the 12's.

If I had a cobra i would go with a whipple or KB and say heck with the nitrous. I just don't like something that's only fast as long as it's full. Mechanical horsepower is what I like

Re: 8 sec. pump gas, street car
Bottle doesn't have to be full to be fast. You don't notice a drop off in power until the bottle gets below half full. Depending on how big of a shot you're running, that could be a while. I only had to fill my bottle 3-4 times last summer and I use mine ALOT.
Also, what kind of hp does nitrous make if it's not mechanical? Magic HP? You have mechanical solenoids opening and closing to allow nitrous to enter your motor. That's about as mechanical as you can get. Did you mean to say that you like Parasitic HP better, being as how you have a supercharger?

It's chemical hp.
I don't like or want.
I have a right to my opinion.
If want to use two of the big bottles be my guest

Wow with only 35psi
What does a 600 an 800 and a 1200hp Supra have in common?

Do want to see a ford modular powered mustang with run 10 less psi make the same power? How about a 2001 SS camaro with 13 psi make almost 1000 on pump gas? How about a 1000 rwhp tt 03 cobra with the stock engine? We all know what a Supra can do with a ton of boost and a highly modded engine.
You act like the vette was even close to reaching it's full potential it was running pump gas. Anything using 35 psi is running staight racing fuel.
Oh wtf lets see another supra vid
And you never answered my question

That vid proves nothing. Do have any idea how hard it is run a 8 second 1/4 on pump gas? I have a feeling you haven't been involved at this hobby very long.

Trap shows power and I've seen rice eaters ss camaro that looks completely stock trap in the 150's with only 15 psi. Plus that was with a sc which isn't as efficient as a turbo. Basically means it loses some power turning it's self. So pound for pound a turbo usually makes more hp per lb of boost if everything else is equal.
Supras are nice, but definitely not the baddest out there.
